A Importância do Alambamento no Casamento Tradicional, na Etnia dos Ovimbundu do Kutenda

Abstract

Alambamento in traditional marriage among Africans constitutes an approach of particular importance in the context of anthropology, and the specific theme is to highlight and analyze the process of alambamento, among the Ovimbundu of Kutenda. In the work entitled “the importance of alambamento in traditional marriage, among the Ovimbundu people of Kutenda”, the following research problem was identified: What is the importance of alambamento in traditional marriage, among the Ovimbundu people of Kutenda? To answer this question, the following general objective was outlined: To describe the importance of alambamento in traditional marriage In the Ovimbundu ethnic group in the commune of Kutenda. The specific objectives were the following: i. Identify the importance of alambamento and its changes over time; ii. Analyze the benefits that alambamentos have contributed within rural communities; iii. Make a comparative chart between the shaving done in the traditional marriage and the shaving required in the civil marriage; iv. Contribute to the knowledge of the essence of alambamento in the succession of generations in the Ovimbundu ethnic group of the Kutenda Commune; v. Characterize the importance of alambamento in the ethnic-linguistic group Ovimbundu of the Commune of Kutenda today. For the elaboration of the work, a set of theoretical and empirical methods were used. Among the empirical ones, the following stand out: Analysis and Synthesis, Bibliographic Research and Documentary Research. Delimitation of the subject: the present work has as its approach « the importance of alambamento in traditional marriage, in the ethnicity of the ovimbundu of kutenda». Division of work: it has the following structure: Introduction, followed by two chapters. In the first one we made a historical, cultural and geographic framework of kutenda; in the second, we highlighted the origin of alambamento in the Ovimbundu of Kutenda. Finally, we present the conclusions and suggestions. Research object: taking into account the research problem, the object of study is alambamento in the Ovimbundu ethnic group of Kutenda.
