O Papel das Autoridades Tradicionais na Conservação dos Monumentos Sítios Históricos e Naturais no Município de Caluquembe

Abstract

The present work, entitled “The Role of Traditional Authorities in the Conservation of Historic and Natural Monuments and Sites in the Municipality of Caluquembe” will contribute to the bibliographic enrichment in the subject of History of Angola II of the History teaching course at ISCED-Huíla. The little approach on the subject, leads us to give our contribution to the investigation and consequently dissemination. However, the study had as a scientific problem: what is the role of traditional authorities in the conservation of historical and natural monuments in the municipality of Caluquembe? The research has as general objective: to analyze the role of traditional authorities in the conservation of monuments, historical and natural sites in the municipality of Caluquembe. However, to answer the problem, the following methods were used: qualitative and quantitative methods, bibliographic research, descriptive, historical method and the comparative method, two surveys were also applied, one by questionnaire and one by interview. As for the results, most of the students surveyed stated the need to implement the theme in the curriculum of History of Angola II and give lectures on it with a view to improving the teaching/learning process and consequently increasing the students' level of knowledge about the subject. the subject; That cultural protocols be created with other municipalities, between the direction of ISCED-Huíla and the municipal administration of the municipality for the exchange of experiences between teachers and the community. Finally, based on the results obtained from the survey submitted to the students, we drew conclusions and suggestions.
