O enquadramento Histórico da Unita na luta pela Independência em Angola (1966 à 1975)

Abstract

The work has as its theme the historical framing of UNITA in the struggle for Angola's independence (1966 to 1975). The struggles for colonial emancipation in Angola were led by three National Liberation Movements (MLN) (FNLA, MPLA and UNITA). In thisvein, itis worth discussing UNITA 'scontribution to the struggle for thee mancipation of Angola, founded in 1966 by Dr. Jonas Malheiro Savimbi, this political movement, fromits foundation to National Independence, was engaged in mobilizing Angolans to become to free them selves from the Portuguese colonial yokeandeven from the reconquest of the Angola nidentity. In thecour se of the political and military struggle for the emancipation of Angola, the so-called revolt of April 25, 1974 took place in Portugal, whi chaccelerat ed the process of decolonization, given this circumstance, several Portuguese coloniesbegan to free them selves from the colonial yoke. In this work, the general and specific objective swereoutlined: General objective: To understand the Historical Background of UNITA, in the Struggle for the Independence of Angola. Specific objectives: Describe UNITA 'historial path in the process of Angola's emancipation; Analyze the impact of UNITA 'spolitical and militar yaction in the struggle against the Portuguese colonial presence and Underst and the constraints of the Angolan political emancipation process carried out by the National Liberation Movements. To implement this desideratum, we use the following methods: Historical Method and Bibliographic Research Method. The present work is divided in to two chapters. In the first, hemade the the oretical foundation that give stheoreticalands cientific support to the central approach of the work and in the second chapter, hede scribesthe liberation movements in Angola, with Great eremphasison the actionand protagonism of UNITA during the struggle for the Liberation of Angola.
