Construção de uma Framework Web: dicionário multimédia Português-Umbundu

Abstract

As Umbundu is the second largest language in Angola, the time has come to make the language increasingly popular with the help of information and communication technologies. In order to develop a Web Framework: multimedia dictionary with relevant information of the vocabulary - its meanings, pronunciation and image - whenever necessary, as well as the optimization of processes towards a better operational performance (consultations anywhere and anytime) by the readers (teachers, students and users in general), this work proposes to contribute to the learning process of the national language Umbundu by using a multimedia Portuguese-Umbundu dictionary. The work was modeled using the UML language with Use-Cases, Classes, and Sequence diagrams to help in the understanding of its development. Finally, we present its prototype to facilitate the understanding of the functionalities of the system that we proposed to develop. Finally, we hope that this work will help the largest possible number of speakers, native speakers and others, to improve their vocabulary in the Umbundu language.
