Estratégia Metodológica para o Ensino e Aprendizagem da Resolução de Equações do 2º grau a uma Incógnita na 10ª classe do Liceu nº 1642- Chicomba

Abstract

“The present research work is entitled”: “Methodological Strategy for Teaching and Learning to Solve Equations of the 2nd Degree to an Unknown in the 10th Class of Liceu nº 1642-Chicomba”. “The work has as a research problem”, “the existence of difficulties on the part of the students of the 10th Class of Liceu nº 1642-Chicomba in the resolution of Equations of the 2nd Degree”. The objective was to elaborate a Methodological Strategy to minimize the students' difficulties in solving 2nd Grade Equations in the 10th Grade of Liceu nº 1642-Chicomba. The investigation was developed according to the descriptive design. The work consists of an introduction, two chapters and ending with general conclusions and suggestions. The first chapter refers to the theoretical foundation, among which the following stand out: Vygotsky's constructivist theory and Ausubel's cognitivism, the historical analysis of the 2nd degree equation, the deduction of some formulas (solving formula of the 2nd degree equations, formula for sum of roots and product of roots) and the current situation of the research problem. In the second chapter, an analysis and processing of data was carried out and the elaboration of the Methodological Strategy for the teaching and learning of solving 2nd Degree Equations to an unknown. The results showed that there are really difficulties in solving 2nd Degree Equations to an unknown in the 10th Class students of Liceu nº 1642-Chicomba.”
