Abstract

This research work has the title: Proposal for methodological treatment of mathematical problems the lead to linear equations to na unknown in the 8th grad. A study carried aut with students and teachers of mathematics at the school of the 1st cycle of secondary education of the catholic mission in the municipality of Chicomba. The work has as research problema, the existence of difficulties on the parto f the studeents in the treatment of mathematical problems that lead to linear equations to na unknown, whose objective is summed up in elaborating a methodological prposal to minimize the diffculties of these in learning the theme. The type of investigation adopted is descriptive, with the purpose of describingthe facts and phenomena that are not manipulable, and ending with the conclusions of this chapter. According to the results of the surveys aimed at buth teacher and students, it was conclued that there is really a need to adopt a new methodological approach to minimize the difficulties that students have in dealing with subject in question.
