Abstract:	A actual situação na Nigéria motiva uma profunda reflexão sobre o Estado e as funções que normalmente este desempenha na sociedade. O aumento da problemática do fundamentalismo islâmico no país surge num ambiente de problemas estruturais complexos que colocam em causa a autoridade, capacidade e legitimidade do Estado. O presente trabalho procurou analisar o trabalho das organizações regionais em África na prevenção, gestão e resolução de conflitos o caso concreto da Nigéria. Para o presente estudo, traçamos como problema científico o seguinte:
Abstract:	The current situation in Nigeria motivates a deep reflection on the State and the functions that it normally performs in society. The increase in the problem of Islamic fundamentalism in the country arises in an environment of complex structural problems that call into question the authority, capacity and legitimacy of the State. The present work sought to analyze the work of regional organizations in Africa in the prevention, management and resolution of conflicts in the specific case of Nigeria. For the present study, we outline the following scientific problem:
