A Evolução Historica Do Airro Do Tchioco (1885-2010)

Abstract

History, as a science dedicated to the study of the most relevant aspects of human societies, is interested in recording and knowing the signs and traces that marked a certain historical society. The present work under the theme: The Historical Evolution of Bairro Tchioco (1885-2010), aims to describe the process that marked the evolution of one of the oldest and most populous neighborhoods in the city of Lubango. Today, the Tchioco neighborhood represents a strategic space, both from the political and administrative point of view, as well as from the economic and social point of view of the city of Lubango. On the other hand, there is little or nothing written about the neighborhood in question, which to some extent jeopardizes the knowledge of future generations about the Tchioco neighborhood. Thus, in order to reach the recommended path, we begin by establishing a specific objective, which involves: ✓ Describing the historical evolution of Bairro do Tchioco in the period between 1885 and 2010. On the other hand, we outline some specific objectives, which are: ✓ Analyze the intricacies of the evolution of Bairro Tchioco before the arrival of Europeans. ✓ Describe the History of the emergence of Bairro Tchioco. ✓ Identify the main structures that characterize Bairro Tchioco. As for the methodology, the present work opted for a qualitative investigation, with priority to the use of methods, historical, bibliographical, comparative and using the interview. As for the structure, the work is divided into two chapters. In the first chapter, a geographic and historical framework of the Tchioco neighborhood was made. In the second chapter, it was about the historical evolution of the Tchioco neighborhood. At the end, we present the conclusions, suggestions and bibliography used in the work.
