dc.description.abstract | The work presented here has as its theme: The Problem of Governments in African Countries in the Age of Globalization: A Look at the Republic of Mozambique 1990-2015). And the same had as a starting question: What posture should African countries, in particular Mozambique, have in the face of globalization? Therefore, an attempt was made to answer the elaborated question. In a scientific, objective and clear way, it was elaborated as a general objective: to analyze the problem of governments in African countries in the era of globalization: a look at the republic of Mozambique (1990-2015). Four specific objectives: 1-Understanding the fall of the Berlin Wall and its impact on Mozambique's internal politics; 2-Explain the reasons for the ongoing conflicts between Renamo and Frelimo; 3-Describe the conflicts in Mozambique in the face of globalization; 4-Identify the pros and cons of Mozambican leadership in the face of globalization. Therefore, in the first chapter, we made a summary of globalization in Africa and also briefly addressed some specificities of Mozambique. In the second Chapter, the theme in question was addressed, in the context of globalization, the advances, setbacks, internal and external challenges that Mozambique has faced in the face of globalization. The methods used in this work were: historical method, comparative method and bibliographical research method. Two techniques: bibliography and interview. The type of our research is descriptive. The conclusion of our research is that globalization is a system that has been imposing structural adjustment programs on many African countries, requiring the acceleration of capitalist production relations typical of developed economies and their opening to the world market, diluting or crushing the relations of production in developing countries by imposing “international standards” on them. We also conclude that in times of accelerated globalization, no country, no matter how rich, is now immune to the negative consequences of poverty and underdevelopment of other less globalized countries. Therefore, one cannot forget the development countries because, ignoring the backwardness of the most economically distant countries is very risky, especially in this era of globalization. | pt |

| pt |
