O Ritual Fúnebre De Um Recém-Nascido: Um Estudo Exploratório Feito No Município De Caconda Na Aldeia De Chico Sul

Abstract

The present work deals with the problem of the “Funeral Ritual of a Newborn: an Exploratory Study carried out in the Municipality of Caconda in the Village of Chico Sul”. Its general objective is to analyze the process of the funeral ritual of a newborn in the municipality of Caconda in the village of Chico Sul. The study had as its starting point the following scientific problem: how are the funeral rituals of a newborn performed in the municipality of Caconda in the village of Chico Sul? Thus, to respond to the problem, the following methods were used: the study is descriptive and exploratory; bibliographical, documentary, historical-logical, comparative research method, empirical methods with the technique of survey by questionnaire and survey by interview applied to the chiefs, elderly and centuries old residents in the village of Chico Sul. Conclusions and suggestions: most of the teachers surveyed affirmed the need to implement the topic under study in the teaching curriculum in the subject of Cultural Anthropology; That social partners be created between the Board of ISCED-Huíla and other institutions at municipal administration level, especially in the socio-cultural area. With this exchange or institutional link, we believe that conditions are created for the exchange of experiences between ISCED-Huíla teachers and traditional communities. That during classes, teachers can not only limit themselves on theoretical aspects, relying only on books, manuals, lectures, seminars and debates, but also adopt students with theoretical-practical knowledge. Finally, depending on the results obtained from the survey submitted to the teachers, chiefs, elders and seculos, we draw conclusions and suggestions.
