Implementação do Repositório Digital Web para os Trabalhos de Licenciatura na Rede Local ISCED-Huíla

Abstract

This work focused on the implementation of digital web repository for undergraduate work in the local network at Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação da Huíla (ISCED-Huíla). For more than half a century, ISCED-Huíla has trained people in different areas of knowledge. Currently, there is a huge collection of undergraduate works that are confined to the institution's library, where only local physical access makes these works available to the university community in a space with limited users. The study was conducted based on the following research question: how to structure and implement a digital web repository for the availability and remote access of ISCED- Huíla's degree work? and the objective of the investigation was to: structure and implement a digital web repository for the provision and remote access of ISCED-Huíla degree work. The following research tasks were developed: a theoretical foundation was developed around digital libraries, repositories and digital repositories in institutions; a study of art was developed on Dura Space technology and its structure; a survey was designed and applied to ISCED-Huíla students about the library services and about the proposal to implement a digital repository to make the degree work available on the intranet; the results obtained through the survey applied to students were analyzed and presented; the agile Scrum process was applied in the structuring and implementation of Dspace; the Dspace modeling implemented in the local ISCED- Huíla network was described. The investigation was guided by the qualitative and simple applied approach. The results of the study indicate that the implemented Web repository will be able to group, store, organize, preserve, retrieve and disseminate the scientific and academic production of ISCED-Huíla, and will allow greater management of the scientific information produced by the Institution, thus increasing visibility and the institution's prestige at the national and international levels; in this first phase, its operation allows access only through the institution's intranet and, for future works, it is considered the preparation of conditions for implementation on the cloud or on a local server, but with all the necessary requirements for availability on the internet.
