Abstract

The present research has as its theme "Causes and consequences of school dropout of students in the 10th Class of Liceu Nº 142 - Cabinda''. In investigation Nº1, the following problem is caused: What are the consequences of schooling in Liceu42 in Cabine. The work has as its object of study the causes and consequences of school dropout in 10th Grade students, Liceu nº142- Cabinda. In order to respond to the problem raised, the following general objective was elaborated: To describe the causes and consequences of dropping out of school among students in the 10th grade of Liceu Nº 142 – Cabinda. As specific objectives of Elementary Education were the following: Identification and compliance with the scope of the student in the Second Secondary Cycle inda; To trace profiles of the persistent student in the Second Cycle of Secondary Education in Cabinda; To analyze in the light of the literature the factors that students point out as causing dropout. From a methodological point of view, this study is practical in nature, with a descriptive design. In the investigation, we raised the following: synthesis-analysis and statistical methods. As technique, the survey by data collection. The population consisted of 70 students from the 10th grade of Liceu Nº 147 - Cabinda. A sample of 35 students was taken from this, randomly selected. It is concluded that school dropout is the process that leads an individual, or a group of a certain age group, to the non-completion of a degree of frequent education, for reasons that are not transferred from school or death.
