Análise Filosófica da Arte Africana como Função Social: Um Estudo Realizado Junto dos Alunos da 12ª classe do Liceu nº 257 (Ida) Escola Anexa ao Liceu da Arimba (Lubango)

Abstract

The philosophical analysis of art contributes to a better appreciation of global culture. Based on this assumption, we feel motivated to draw up the end-ofcourse work with the theme: The philosophical analysis of African art as a social function: a study carried out with students from High School nº 257 (IDA), a school attached to Arimba (Lubango). Based on the theme, we have as a scientific question the following: What is the problem surrounding the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function? As an object of study we have: The philosophical analysis of African art as a social function, with the students of High School nº 257 (IDA). And to carry out our research we have as a general objective: to understand the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function. The following scientific questions emerged from the general objective: (1) What are the theoretical foundations that support the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function; (2) What is the level of knowledge of the 12th grade students of High School nº 257 (IDA), regarding the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function; (3) What strategies to use to improve the level of knowledge of the referenced students regarding the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function. From the questions, the following tasks arise: (1) Determine the theoretical foundations that support the highlighted theme; (2) Diagnose students' current state of knowledge regarding the topic; (3) Collect data through the survey and then suggest actions aimed at improving the level of knowledge of 12th grade students on the philosophical analysis of African art as a social function. Our research is philosophical in nature and fits into the fields of African Culture and Philosophy and Aesthetics. The population consisted of thirty-five (35) students from the 12th grade of the C.E.J. where twenty-five (25) students were withdrawn and served as a sample. And in this same research, methods of theoretical, empirical and statistical level were used. Generally speaking, the work starts with an introduction, three chapters with specific approaches, conclusion and suggestions.
