Abstract

The theme of this work is: The importance of the school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of school heritage. A study with teachers and students of the Rainha Nangombe primary school nº 571 in the municipality of Cacula. We tried to answer the following question: What is the importance of the school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of school heritage? It is in this perspective that the following research object was developed: The school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of school heritage, taking into account the question raised, the general objective was defined: To describe the importance of the school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of the school heritage, at Rainha Nangombe school nº 571 in the municipality of Cacula. In order to fulfill the general objective, the following specific objectives were outlined: 1) bibliographic review for the elaboration of the conceptual theoretical framework; 2) methodological argumentation concerning the importance of the school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of the school heritage, in the Rainha Nangombe primary school; 3) develop instruments for investigation; 4) presentation and analysis of the data obtained. The field of action of the investigation is centered in the scope of Pedagogical Psychology, specifically in the primary school Rainha Nangombe nº 571 of Cacula. The population consisted of 8 teachers and 60 parents and guardians of the Rainha Nangombe primary school nº 571 of Cacula, from which a sample of 8 teachers and 20 parents and guardians was extracted, selected through a census-type sampling. for teachers and simple random probabilistic sampling for guardians. Descriptive design was used, as the importance of the school-community relationship in the preservation and maintenance of school heritage was described. The research tasks were carried out using the following methods: Theoretical methods (Historical-logical and Analysis and synthesis), empirical: (Statistical and questionnaire survey). 87.5% of the teachers and 80% of the parents answered that the school-community relationship is very important in the preservation and maintenance of the school heritage.
