Os Experimentos Químicos Com Uso De Materiais Alternativos Como Fonte De Motivação Na Aprendizagem Dos Conteúdos Da Química No I Ciclo Do Ensino Secundário

Abstract

The present work covers the experiments with the use of alternative materials in the teaching-learning process of Chemistry in the I Cycle of Secondary, with an incidence of Colégio Nº 414 – Quipungo, province of Huíla. Therefore, the teaching of this content has generated several suspicions for the way in which it has been carried out, in which teachers are only attached to traditional methodologies, which has caused a weak motivation for students to learn this subject. Based on this position, the present investigation was carried out, whose starting point consisted of the following problem: how to improve the motivation of learning Chemistry by students of the I Cycle of Secondary Education of Colégio Nº 414 – Quipungo through a methodological alternative based on the experiments with the use of alternative materials? The object of study consisted of the teaching-learning process of Chemistry in the I Cycle of Secondary Education, hence the field of action reflects the experiments with the use of alternative materials to improve the motivation for learning the contents. To confirm the existence of the problem, a diagnosis was made to a sample of 13 Chemistry teachers from the I Cycle of Secondary Education and 108 students from the 9th Class of the School mentioned above. The solution to the research problem was given by fulfilling the objective of elaborating a methodological alternative based on experiments with the use of alternative materials to improve the motivation for learning Chemistry in the I Cycle of Secondary Education. The tasks defined in the work were accomplished with the combined application of theoretical, empirical and statiscs methods, taking into account the descriptive research design engendered. Once this was done, the idea that experiments with the use of alternative materials can be a good alternative for improving the students' motivation in Chemistry learning became clear, if well explored.
